Jana Olenio, Owner & Instructor, teaches a Vinyasa Flow style of yoga on the mat and Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga on the water. Jana began practicing yoga in 2004 with the hope to reduce stress and anxiety. She began teaching in 2009 after yoga positively transformed and healed her life far beyond her expectations. Her goal is to help others heal themselves by bringing the gift of yoga into the lives of each student.

In March 2012, Jana took her yoga practice to the water and became a certified Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga Teacher. She started SUP YO in May 2012 in the Boston area where she teaches students how to practice yoga on a paddleboard. Today, Jana teaches SUP Yoga from May to September throughout Boston & NH. The combination of yoga in nature along with the added fitness challenge makes the paddleboard the perfect place to practice!

In the off-season, Jana continues to inspire others to get outside by leading winter retreats in New England that combine yoga with an outdoor activity and destination retreats and certified teacher trainings worldwide.

Emilie Amstutz is a yoga teacher and owner of Borealis Community Yoga in Medford, MA. She is excited to combine her love for yoga and the green (and blue) spaces in and around Boston as part of the SUP YO team. Emilie encourages a compassionate approach to the yoga practice that serves you both on and off the mat. Kelley Hwang is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher, located in Medford, MA. She began her yoga practice years ago when injuries took her out of competitive gymnastics and other sports. She fell in love with SUP Yoga the very first time she did it and is excited to share those great experiences with the Boston community. When she is not teaching on the water, she is running, hiking or enjoying any and every beach.

Leah Gatchell graduated from Suffolk University in 2004 and immediately started working in marketing even though her passion was to be a teacher.  After having her first child, she began substitute teaching.  After the birth of her second child, she began practicing yoga for stress relief.

Yoga was instant love and became an essential part of her life.  Looking for a way to share her passion for teaching with her love of yoga to include her family, she began teaching Expressive Yoga Dance in 2013.  In February 2014, Leah completed her 200 hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) at Kripalu School of Yoga.  Leah took her yoga practice on the water and became certified in Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) Yoga in May of 2014.  Always looking for ways to supplement the SUP Yoga experience, Leah completed her Aerial Yoga Teacher Training with Kama Fitness in February of 2016.Leah believes in yoga for all – anytime, anywhere!  She incorporates essential oils into her classes, customizes her own kids and special ed student yoga program, and creates and facilitates AromaYoga, Chakra Essential Oil and Breathing and Mindfulness for Teachers Workshops.  But most of all, Leah enjoys going with the flow while on the SUP!
